SHOW INFORMATION

On acceptance of entries no officers of the association will be accountable for loss, injury or damage to exhibitors or members of the public or their animals.  Numbers to be collected on the day. The committee reserves the right to amalgamate, cancel or divide classes and change the programme of judges in the interest of the efficient running of the show.

 

SAFETY OFFICERS:

Mr A Martin, Mrs. V Martin, Mr L Massey ,  Mr C Johnston, Mrs. J Boyd, Mr P Adair, Mr T Armstrong, Mr K Tipple

All riders must wear correctly fitted protective headgear which complies with the British Standard Number; at all times while mounted within the show grounds i.e. M.E.C. Ponies in youngstock classes must be shown without hind shoes. Those ponies one year old and over must be shown with a bit.  Stallions exceeding 137.2cm may be ridden by riders who have attained the age of 14 on 1st January of current year. Stallions 137.2cm and under may be ridden by riders who have attained 12 years on first January of current year.  No child under 16 years on 1st January of current year may lead a pony in any breeding, youngstock and lead rein classes.  All objections to be lodged at the Secretary’s office on the day of the show accompanied by £100.  No substitutions, refunds or changes of entries.

 

NB: It is the exhibitors responsibility to be available for judging.  Please do not rely on announcer.  It is the exhibitors responsibility to have the animal ready on time for adjudication.

Passports must accompany ponies.

 

WELSH BRED CLASSES:

 Animals entered in Classes for Welsh Section A, B, C & D must be registered in the Welsh Stud Book.  Animals entered in Welsh Part Bred classes must be registered in the Welsh Part Bred Register.  W.S.B. & W.P.B.R. number must be stated on entry forms. This Association has applied for the following medals for this show: W.P. & C.S. Bronze Medals for the Section A, Section B, Section D and Part-Bred In-Hand.  W.P. & C.S. Performance medals for the Performance Champions.

 

QUALIFIERS / AFFILATION:

This show is affiliated to the Irish Pony Society & Welsh Pony & Cob Society.  This show is a qualifier for the National Welsh & Welsh Part-Bred Championships in Malvern with qualifiers for the Brightwells Supreme Section A, B, C, D & P/B In-Hand Championships, the Supreme Bedlay Stud Ridden Part-Bred Championships and the Brynseion Stud Ridden A, B, C, D Lead Rein & First Ridden Supremes.  For details please contact Mrs. L Partridge, Rosedale Stud, Henllys, Cwnbran, Gwent, NP44 7AT.
